This policy explains how the National Civil Service Commission handles personal information collected through this website and its learning platform.
Information we collect
When you create an account we collect your name, email address and, where you choose to provide them, your phone number, union or workplace, occupation and region. As you learn we record your course enrolments, lesson progress, quiz results, workshop registrations and any certificates issued to you.
How we use your information
Your information is used to deliver training, track your progress, issue and verify certificates, notify you about courses, workshops and events, and to report in aggregate on the reach of NCSC's workers' education programmes. We do not sell personal data.
Certificate verification
Certificates carry a unique certificate number and QR code so that employers and partner organisations can verify them. A verification page confirms only the certificate number, the learner's name, the course or workshop completed and the issue date.
Data storage and security
Account and learning records are stored in a managed database with access restricted to authorised NCSC staff. Passwords are stored only as salted cryptographic hashes and are never readable by anyone, including administrators. Learning media is hosted with established providers and referenced by link only.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at info@ncsc.gov.so or on +252 615 521397 / +252 615 175950. Closing your account removes your personal profile; certificates already issued remain verifiable unless you ask us to revoke them.
